Brittany was a bridesmaid at a wedding I photographed last year, so when she contacted me at the beginning of this year to be there to capture her special day I was thrilled! Their day was so incredibly beautiful I can hardly contain my excitement of sharing these images with you all!
The day started with a first look at the Pacific Rim Hotel in downtown Vancouver, from there we took a limo to Lynn Canyon. Before we got there I had this image in my mind of the couple standing in the middle of the suspension bridge…my thoughts were immediately shattered when we got there to find hundreds of tourists barely able to move on the bridge! We decided to walk around the park taking other lovely photos. But I was determined to get a photo of them on the bridge, so right before we were about to leave I asked them to walk out there. When they got to the centre we just started asking people to wait and guess what… we got the most beautiful photos!!! It’s amazing the power a women in a wedding dress can have! After this crazy adventure in Lynn Canyon we made our way to their backyard ceremony with only the closest of their friends and family.
Less than 30 people gathered around to what Geoff and Brit say their I Do’s. It was perfect. Their ceremony was a rollercoaster of laughter and tears, they used a company called “Young Hip & Married” (https://www.younghipandmarried.com) for their officiant and I would highly recommend them.
